What Wenut is.
Wenut is an Egyptian company based in Cairo. We make premium gym training available by the session — no annual membership, no lock-in.
Our product
Wenut sells prepaid gym-session plans. We purchase training-session capacity from premium partner gyms across Cairo in bulk, and we resell that capacity directly to our members as prepaid credit at our own published prices. Members buy a plan, receive credit instantly, and use it to check in to sessions at any partner gym.
We are a principal merchant, not an aggregator. Wenut buys gym-session inventory wholesale and owns it; we then sell it to members at our own prices and carry the commercial risk. We are not a marketplace that merely connects buyers and sellers, and we do not act as an agent or intermediary that passes through a third party's charge.
How members use it
Each member holds one balance of prepaid credit, denominated in Wenut Stars at a fixed, published rate of 1 Star = 10 EGP. A gym session is priced in Stars and shown to the member in the Wenut app before they go; off-peak sessions cost fewer Stars than peak sessions. At the gym, the member shows a secure single-use QR code that reception scans to confirm entry — the only moment credit is used.

Wenut operates in Cairo, Egypt, starting with a curated set of premium gyms and adding new locations over time. Our head office is at 86 Industrial Area, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt.
Our name
We are named after Wenut (وِنوت), an ancient Egyptian goddess associated with the hours — a fitting name for a service built around training whenever the hour suits you.
